Creative Pet Gifts: Kitty Wigs!

Wiglinkblue_3 Okay, now I've seen it all! Kitty Wigs!!

In an effort to thread some levity and humor through my blog so that we don't all get completely depressed with the subject of pet loss, I like to post these fantastic, creative and unique pet gifts here and there that I come across.

I have to say that so far this is my favorite one!

And to make it just a touch eerie, this beautiful gray cat looks just like my old friend Mira.

Check out the wigs and the beautiful packaging that they come in. Brilliant.

Love it! Love it!

Hand-Painted Ceramic Pet Urns

Dogcatsinglezm I'd like to introduce a new addition to the Peternity family -- Alyson Idrees of Chowtime Produtions!

Alyson was trained in Florence, Italy as a painter and has created a gorgeous line of pets urns that show off her amazing talents.

What I love about Alyson's pet cremation urns is that they are very upbeat, with vibrant colors and a bit of a sense of humor.

We all need some levity during our times of sorrow, and it's great to be able to look at the memorial that you've chosen for your pet and have it make your smile.

Tuscantailszm The latest addition to Alyson's collection is Tuscan Tails. These beauties have a lovely warmth about them, the perfect final resting place for your best friend.

Have a beautiful day,

Colleen

Glass Pet Cremation Urns

Keepsakeboxlg_2 One of my favorite choices for a pet urn are urns made of glass. Glass is made from one of the oldest, most primary substances on earth, sand.

In keeping with the old Biblical "ashes to ashes, dust to dust" that is ingrained in all of our minds, glass is transformed sand, made into art. Because of this direct connection to the earth, glass crafted urns make perfect vessels in which to preserve the ashes of our dear loved ones

Can You Potty Train Your Cat?!

Catlittersm When I was "20-something", I lived in a small NYC apartment with my diva cat Mira. I was constantly sweeping up around her litter box because there was really only one place to keep it, right near a busy walkway.

That busy walkway was also at the bottom of a pantry that was covered only by a curtain and was right in the kitchen! Not the best thing to smell while you're eating dinner or sipping your morning coffee.

I wish that I would have had the brilliant idea that this "20-something" woman, Rebecca Resacate had, who decided to solve her problem by inventing something brilliant, and now a hot product for cat lovers everywhere.

See for yourself . . .

Good Day!

Humor and Grieving

All of us grieving need a little levity, wouldn't you say? I think this is one of the funniest dog toys that I've ever seen!

The Humunga Tongue!

Humungatongue It comes in small, medium and large, and the part that is in the dog's mouth is shaped like a ball so that they want to fetch it! What will they come up with next?! A bit Gene Simmons-esque, but funny nonetheless!

You can purchase these at FunStuffForDogs.com. Click on their big green "Search" button on the right and just type in Humunga Tongue.

Have a wonderful day!

Gifts of Love!

I came across this website www.heartishot.com the other day and thought "what a beautiful way to send love around the world!" In addition to providing support and community for you at Peternity, we also try to promote hope and love. An integral part of the grieving process is to be able to start to look forward, to try to focus on all of the little things in our lives that remind us of the beauty of life and regeneration. We have so much to be thankful for. Send some love around the world and make another person feel warmth and joy in their heart.

Have a beautiful day,

Colleen
